Delivering FAIR Data-centric and TRUSTable data
A Talk by Dr Ben Gardner (R&D Lead for Data Mesh and Semantic Infrastructure, AstraZeneca)
About this Talk
FAIR data (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Re-usable) is seen as a route to releasing value from our existing data in AstraZeneca as well as setting us up to be able to do so much more with new data we generate from here on.
At AstraZeneca we have come to recognise if we want to realise FAIR data then we need to hide the complexity associated with interpreting the FAIR principles into practice by delivering service that are FAIR by design. We are doing this by focusing on three key areas:
- Cataloguing data assets (Findability & Accessibility)
- Applying Master and Reference Data (Interoperability)
- Delivering machine readable Data Dictionaries (Reusability)
In this talk, I will discuss how AstraZeneca R&D is approaching these challenges, how we can use our Enterprise Knowledge Graph to deliver Data-centricity and incorporate the TRUST framework of Data Governance.
